EPIPHONE RIVIERA CUSTOM P93
INFO
The Epiphone Riviera Custom P93 is modeled after one of Epiphone’s most enduring classics, the Riviera. First introduced in the early ‘60s, the Epiphone Riviera’s semi-hollow design has been a favorite of players from all genres and generations including blues great Otis Rush, Lou Reed of the Velvet Underground, and The Strokes’ Nick Valensi, who have all found that the Riviera’s legendary ES-body shape could produce great tones with any pickup variation. Over the years, the Riviera has been seen with humbuckers, mini-humbuckers, and P-90s. But now the Custom P-93 has the rare distinction of giving players a new sound and a new distinctive look.
PLAYER'S PERSPECTIVE
The overall layout on the riviera is great! It has a chunky 50's-like neck profile fitted with medium to jumbo frets the guitar was very smooth and blended perfectly with my fingers , the way I see it , it's basically a Sheraton body and neck with some p-93 and bigsby tweaks... It also has a coil tap function on both pickups so one would be able to blend many different sounds , it's a great guitar for beginner to intermediate guitar players and even a great workhorse for the working musician , the only thing which I didn't like was my pick banging on the middle pickups every now and then , but that's the price you pay for having one I suppose.
