Fender Jaguar USA | Vintage Series | 62 reissue AVRI | 2000

We tracked down and caught this Jaguar in the closest thing we have to a forrest in Malta. These are the Buskett Gardens; this woodland in Malta has trees in them planted centuries ago by the Knights of St. John, the land was used as a hunting reserve. Which still served our purpose to hunt down and capture this Jaguar for your eyes to feast on. A 21 year old Fender Jaguar made in USA. This guitar brings ample of character to the player that will own it next.
 
The American Vintage Series pays tribute to certain guitars from landmark years in Fender's history; the Fender American Vintage '62 Jaguar is built to the specs of that year. The Jaguar was first produced in 1962, so this is a particularly landmark year for the instrument and the American Vintage '62 Jaguar is consequently sporting specs from the Jag's first year of production. The short scale neck, the two single-coil pickups with the distinctive Lead and Rhythm Circuitry, and the obviously Jaguar-like offset body are all a part of the Fender American Vintage '62 Jaguar.
Tonally, this Jag does everything a good Fender should, with plenty of twang and snap in the top end, with the slightly aggressive chime. The stock pickups have balanced, sweet output and great clarity for strummed passages and sparkling lead lines. Switch on the Rhythm Circuit for an even darker, solid tones , works great when using fuzz pedals. Click on the "strangle" switch in the Lead Circuit for even thinner and twangier sounds.  Professionally setup here at Sun-Sounds Music Shop , this Jag is set to perfection and strung with fresh 10-46 gauged strings.

The neck has a medium C profile with lots of shoulder, featuring an Indian rosewood slab fretboard, vintage style frets, and a traditional 7 1/4" fretboard radius. The frets do not seem to have been replaced and are in optimal condition with no considerable dents or marks on them, also having rounded crowns. The 24" scale makes bending and chord extensions a breeze, and the nut measures 41.28mm in width. On the headstock, the Jaguar waterslide decal is intact.

All of the electronics work as they should. Cosmetically, the guitar has been played and pre-loved, has scuffs, laquer chips and dings all around, none of these effect the playability but only add tons of Mojo to this axe. It also comes along the original super cool Leather soft Bag also visible in the images.
