Fender Stratocaster 58 reissue | 2002 | MIJ
Have a look at this Fender Japan ST58-70TX Stratocaster in a splendid vintage 3 Tone Sunburst finish w/1ply white pickguard. Made in Japan between 2002 and 2004 featuring, USA Texas Special pickups an alder body, and maple fretboard.
We often get '57 Strats through the shop, but a 1958 model is much less common. There's not a lot of difference, but... you get a maple board and a lovely three tone sunburst, which is a combo you can't get on a '57 or '62 model. The neck is a lovely piece of maple, there's some tight, detailed grain on show on both edges of the board and the moderately chunky D-shape profile feels really intuitive in the hands.
The USA-made pickups are great are overwound single coils, so there's a bit of extra output and low end on deck to thicken and tighten up your chords, but with a light touch or the volume rolled off a tiny bit, they clean up beautifully. The clarity of each note comes out amazingly, it's an expressive and warm tone that rewards a light touch.
It is a pre-loved instrument and does have a few small marks, nicks and scratches on it nothing that is signaficantly important or that alter it's playing abilities in any way. Frets and fretboard fine. Metal parts, hardware, and pickups are in solid working condition as well.
We set the guitar up and is ready for the next player to put their mark on it! Loads of cutting edge attack and drive with the alder body and Texas Special pickups! It's a great player!
