MC Guitars Odin 7 | #0001 | Made in Malta

Odin (runic: ᚢᚦᛁᚾ) is a widely admired god in Germanic mythology. Norse mythology, the source of most surviving information about him, associates Odin with wisdom, healing, death, royalty, knowledge, war, battle, victory, sorcery, poetry, and frenzy. This 7-string custom guitar is an expression of all that. 
 
A unique build which was designed by one of Malta's greatest Luthiers, Andrew Manicaro. This is the first of its kind, #0001. A 7 string, multi-scale headless guitar. The ash wood that the body is carved out of is quite a heavy wood giving it that extraordinary sustain and solid feel. The wood grain that it has adds super sexiness to its sleek look, still retaining that natural yet modern look to it.
 
The hardware on it has been built by Mera Guitars, just one noticable defect can be seen on the gold chroming on the high e locking nut is slightly chipped (this apparently happened during transit towards Malta). This does not effect any of its functionality at all. 
 
MC Guitars has been around for the past 6 years and this particular model has been given all the energy of expertise and knowledge that was gathered throughout this path of luthiery. 
 
The pickups on it : 
At the bridge position we have the Bare Knucle Warpig offering brutality with clarity. The Warpig is an extremely high output humbucker with a raw, guttural tone and smooth high-end. The twin screw coil design produces an even and controlled treble response, working well with intense levels of gain. Bass and mid-range response is monstrous and the different magnet options allow for the tone to be further refined to taste. The default Alnico V magnet creates the smoothest high-end with a totally organic mid range grind and deep bottom-end. For players looking for even more output, the ceramic magnet option delivers faster bass reaction, smoother mids and a sharper cut in the highs.
 
At the Neck position we have the Aftermath from Bare Knucle; perfect for the modern metal guitarist, with accelerated bass response for exceptionally fast tracking of high-speed staccato riffing. It has a crushing mid range and precise high-end articulation. With a symmetrically hand-wound twin screw coil design, the Aftermath bridge is powered by 3 custom size ceramic magnets. The bottom-end responds quickly to pick attack and tracks fast riffing extremely accurately, mids are focused and intense for ultimate punch no matter how dense the mix or how low the tuning, and highs are precise and articulate. With a more compressed dynamic, single notes have masses of sustain while the front of the note is clear-cut and defined even under extreme amounts of gain. The Aftermath neck humbucker is Alnico V powered and voiced for fat, powerful clean tones, fluid vocal-like sustain when driven hard and good balance with the bridge humbucker.
